Sian Jones

Research Intern, August to November 2006
Sian primarily worked on Bringing It Home, which included researching and writing briefings about radicalisation, liasing with police and attending relevant conferences and events. She also managed the project pamphlet launch and assisted on events organisation for the Labour and Liberal Democrat Party Conferences.

Veronica Rossini

Rearch Intern, August to October 2006
During her time at Demos, Veronica carried out research for the Olympic Public Diplomacy project as well as various security projects. She also took part in the organisation of Demos events, including a speech by Hilary Benn.

Eva Groeneveld

Research Intern, August to October 2006
As a result of being so flexible and adaptable, Eva did a whole range of things at Demos, working with different people and completing a variety of tasks. She organised events, folded pamphlets, completed desk-based research, organised research trips abroad, liased with Demos contacts and folded some more pamphlets.

Emilie Glazer

Research Intern, August to September 2006
White at Demos, Emilie worked extensively on Recruitment 2015, establishing and participating in face-to-face interviews and carrying out preliminary research for the project. She also worked on The Nanodialogues and Beyond Inclusion, contributing vital research to both projects. Emilie also co-ordinated a seminar in the Northern Lights series.

Amy Horton

Research Intern, August to September 2006
During her time at Demos, Amy analysed and presented online a range of material, including questionnaires, matrices and stories as part of the Glasgow 2020 project. She helped prepare and run the Big Dream event where these ideas were brought together for a final exploration. She also produced an official narrative of Glasgow using sources such as economic reports and newspaper articules. Amy also worked on the initial stages of the Childern Make Places project, writing a literature review and participating in the project's steering group.

Eoin Wilson

Research Intern, August to September 2006
While at Demos, Eoin helped out in a variety of areas - ranging from nanotechnology to organising Demos' events at the party conferences and letter franking to desk-based research. He chose to do an internship at Demos to broaden his horizons in advance of studying for a Masters in Politics and to encourage some abstract thinking.

During his time at Demos, Iason worked primarily on the Future of the English Language, The Future of Recruitment and the politics of water in a global context.

Yannick Hartstein

Research Intern, June to August 2006
For three months, Yannick was the main intern working on the Cultural Diplomacy project. He helped researchers with their background research, the logistics of case studies and and co-ordinating the activities of the project. He also organised the launch event for The Journey to the Interface and a Northern Lights seminar. Yannick also acted as PA to the director for two weeks.

Demos showed me that this world is wider than the strict political sphere, and I look forward to bring my community activism and research skills towards better public decision-making. Rob Lewis

Media and Communications Intern, June to August 2006
As media and communications intern, Rob was responsible for facilitating communications both within Demos and to the outside world. He helped draft press releases, organise press coverage for Demos events and was responsible for the Demos newsletter. He also provided a series of briefings on issues related to ongoing reports.


Current Activities:
Final year BA Modern History and Politics (Oxford), with a view to enrol on the Teach First programme in July.
